How to Save and Restore Microsoft Office Settings


Have you ever wanted to save your perfectly-tweaked settings (which you have probably spent ages to do) and you are supposed to move to another machine? Well, good news for you because in Office 2003, you can save your settings with a simple Microsoft Office tool.

1.      Go to Start > Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools > Microsoft Office 2003 Save My Settings Wizard.

2.      Select Save the settings from the two options and hit Next.

3.      You will be asked to give your settings file a name and browse for where you want to save it.

1.      Just wait for the wizard to finish and you should now have your settings file.

2.      Once you migrate to a new machine with a newly-installed Office, just run the same wizard again but this time, and select “Restore previously saved settings to this machine” from the first step.
